Moderation

Moderation & trust

How moderation works at ArchipelagoExpat. Every sensitive change passes through an audited queue: who, what, when. Nothing is silently deleted.

How moderation works

Submissions reviewed before publishing

Every guide, article or listing goes through a moderation queue. Nothing is published instantly.

Guide edits are audited

Revisions to existing guides are recorded with author, date and reason. They can be reverted.

Promotional content reverted

Edits that promote paid services inside guides are reverted and flagged.

Community reports

Any user can report an issue. Moderators review every report.

The platform in numbers

Anonymized figures showing moderation activity and the volume of reviewed content.

What moderators can do

Moderators have these capabilities to protect community content:

  • Approve submissions and edits
  • Reject with explanation
  • Revert to prior versions
  • Lock sensitive pages
  • Suspend abusive accounts

Every action is recorded with moderator, target, reason and timestamp. Nothing is anonymous.
